Sri Lanka Navy 'A' and Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya emerged champions in the Men's and Women's 'A' Divisions respectively at the Veterans' Inter Club Table Tennis Tournament 2017 which was held at the S. Thomas' College Indoor Stadium in Mt. Lavinia.
Sri Lanka Navy 'A' represented by Indika Prasad Silva, T.S.K. Weerakoon and T.P. Malalgama beat Veteran 'A' represented by M.M.M. Laffeer, Dr. Nimal Lucas, Deepak Narindas and S.S. Perera in the finals while Namal Gunasekera, Udayangani Aluwihare and Shamila Manojika representing Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya defeated Friendship TT Club with Samantha Jayadeva, Ira Ruwanpathirana and Champa Wimalawardene in the Women's finals.
In the Men's 'B' Division final Veteran 'B' (Fida Hussain, N.H. Piyadasa, Wasantha Perera and H. Gamage) beat Commercial Bank (D.G.P. Kariyawasam, W.W. A.J. Wijesundera, D.R. John and K.D.J.N.P. Abeysiriwardena).
Government Press (Athula Hettiarachchi, P.D. Gajendrasiri, R.D. Sarath Kumara and L.R.D. Isuru Sampath) rolled over Butterfly 'C' (M.L.M. Azvar, M.N.S. Perera, M.G. Wasantha de Silva) to win the Men's 'C' Division title.
