Table Tennis: Seylan Bank, MAS Holdings win Mercantile Championships

Seylan Bank (Seylan) and MAS Holdings (MAS) emerged winners in the Men's and Women's 'A' Divisions at the Mercantile Table Tennis Association (MTTA) KnockOut Championship 2017 organised and conducted by the TT Association in its Diamond Jubilee year, at the S.Thomas' College Indoor Stadium. 

This year's championship conducted in 5 Divisions for Men and 2 Divisions for Women, saw 51 teams from 23 Mercantile Firms in action. 

MAS stood above the rest to win the championship in 3 Divisions- Women's 'A' and 'B' and Men's 'C', and Runners-up in Men's 'A' Division, while Seylan Bank won the Men's 'A' Division and were Runners-up in the Women's 'A' Division. 

Seylan Bank Men's 'A' Division Champs: Uditha Kaluarachchi, Sasika Wijesooriya, Chalitha Ranjana, Malith Dilusha and Saminda Renuka. 

MAS Holdings Women's 'A' Division Champs: Srimali Wimalaratne, Kalpani Herath, Upeka kotinkaduwa and Dulanjalee Samarasinghe. 

Sri Lanka Women's Cricket Team Manager Mrs Indrani Ariyaratne was the Chief Guest. Ceylinco General Insurance Senior Assistant General Manager Sanath Jayasundera, MTTA Patron Rajiva Wijetunga, MTTA Past President Ruzik Jabir, and Organising Committee Head Madushanka Gammanpila graced the Awards Ceremony.

Men 
'A' Division- Seylan Bank beat MAS Holdings 3-1 
'B' Division- Dialog Axiata PLC beat Commercial Bank 3-0 
'C' Division- MAS Holdings beat Hatton National Bank 3-1 
'D' Division- People's Leasing Co. beat Ceylinco General Insurance 3-1 
'E' Division- HSBC Electronic Data Processing Lanka (Pvt) Ltd beat Sysco Labs 3-1 

Women 
'A' Division- MAS Holdings beat Seylan Bank 2-0 
'B' Division- MAS Holdings beat London Stock Exchange Group 2-0
