Adithya Karunaratne, the Sri Lankan tennis player based in Hong Kong, broke into the top 300 of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) ranking after winning the Under-18 Singles and Doubles titles at the 8th Kenya International Junior Tennis Championship.
Adithya beat Serbian Draginja Vukovic in the Singles finals 6-1, 2-6, 7-5 in the Under-18 Grade V Junior Circuit Event held in Kenya before clinching the Doubles title.
The 14-year-old becomes the first Sri Lankan to break into the top 300 ITF Junior Circuit Rankings and is currently ranked at 270 in the world.
