U-15 Cricket: St. Sebastian's and Nalanda in Division I final

St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa and Nalanda College Colombo will play in the final of the Inter-School Under-15 Division I Cricket Tournament after securing first innings wins in their semi-final matches played on Sunday (11).

The Sebastianites overcame traditional rivals Prince of Wales' College in their semi-final game played at St. John's College Panadura while Nalanda conquered S. Thomas' College in the other semi-final played at Darley Road. 

St. Sebastian's posted 310-9 in 90 overs and restricted Prince of Wales to 155 runs in 80 overs to earn a first innings' win. 

Nalanda batted first and were able to post 164 in 42.2 overs and bowled out S. Thomas' for 160 runs in 62 overs to record a stunning first innings win. 

In their second innings Nalanda posted 198 runs in 47.4 overs and S. Thomas' were struggling at 31-6 in 9 overs when play ended. 

At Panadura: St. Sebastian's beat Prince of Wales

Nalanda 164 all out (42.2) (Lakshan Kashyapa 41, Moksha Sankalpa 31; Dineth Wanniarachchi 5/39) and 198 all out (47.4) (Avishka Perera 39, Mokshya Sankalpa 48; Dilmin Rathnayaka 5/73, Krishan Munasinghe 4/28)

S. Thomas’ 160 all out (62) (Ranuk Gunawardana 34, Kishan Munasinghe 34, Dilmin Rathnayaka 31; Thamindu Kamalasuriya 5/44) and 31 for 6 (9) (Jithesh Wasala 4/8)
