Kingswood College made a stunning performance to totally outsmart Isipathana College by 21-5 and win the Milo Schools Under-18 15s Rugby Championship in the final played at the CR and FC ground in Colombo on Thursday (15).
Kingswood, who finished off with an unbeaten tag, scored from three converted tries which came off from K.M. Kumalsekara, J.A. Ratnayake and A.J. Dilshan while S.T. Seneviratne converted all three.
For Isipathana Nadeesha Jayampathi scored the solitary unconverted try.
In the semi-finals Isipathana had to huff and puff against St. Anthony's College Kandy before emerging victorious 8-0 while Kingswood beat Zahira College marginally by 17-0.
St. Joseph's College defeated St. John's College Nugegoda 38-3 to win the Plate Championship while Trinity College thrashed hometown rivals Vidyartha College 41-0 to annex the Bowl Championship.
Maliyadeva College Kurunegala recorded a smashing 44-0 win against Moratu Vidyalaya to win the Shield Championship.
