U-19 Cricket: Sri Dharmaloka, Sri Devananda, Wesley and St Anne’s top Division II groups

The teams to qualify to the pre-quarter finals of the Under-19 Division II Inter-School Cricket Tournament were found with the completion of the first round of matches which came to an end last week.

The tournament was contested by 31 teams which were divided into four groups’ participation of eight teams in three groups and seven teams in the other group.

Sri Dharmaloka MV Kelaniya along with Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda, Wesley and St Anne’s Kurunegala came out on top in the respective groups.

These four teams along with the three other teams from each group qualified to the pre-quarter finals which will be played on a knockout basis.

The other teams to qualify to the pre-quarter finals from the four groups:

Group ‘A’: St John’s Jaffna, Sri Sumangala Panadura and Carey. 

Group ‘B’: St. Anthony’s Katugastota, Revatha MMV Balapitiya and Kalutara MV. 

Group ‘C’: Devapthiraja MMV Rathgama, Tissa MMV Kalutara and St Thomas Matara. 

Group ‘D’: P de S. Kulratne MV Ambalangoda, St Mary’s Kegalle and St Sebastian’s Katuneriya.

The schedule per-quarter finals are Sri Dharmaloka MV Kelaniya vs Kalutara MV at Kelaniya, P.de S. Kularatne MV Ambalangoda vs Tissa MMV Kalutara at Ambalangoda, St Anthony’s Katugastota vs Sri Sumangala Panadura at Katugastota, Wesley vs St Sebastian’s Katuneriya at Colombo, Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda vs St Thomas Matara at Ambalangoda, St John’s Jaffna vs St Mary’s Kegalle at Jaffna, Devapthiraja MMV Rathgama vs Revatha MMV Balapitiya at Rathgama and St Anne’s Kurunegala avs Carey at Kurunegala.
