Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced that Under-19 player Kalana Perera has been replaced by Thilan Lorensuhewa after suffering an injury during a practice session on Tuesday (16).
"Sri Lanka Under-19 player Kalana Perera, who is in the 15-member squad taking part in the ongoing ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, will fly back home, as he has suffered an injury to his ankle," a press release issued by SLC stated.
"The injury has occurred, while engaging in practices yesterday (16/1/2018) at the Kensington Park in Whangarie, New Zealand."
"Sri Lanka Cricket’s National Selectors have decided to send Thilan Prashan Lorensuhewa Wallekamkanamge as the replacement for Kalana Perera. Thilan was on the standby players list for the Under-19 World Cup," the statement added.
