City Football League thrashed Negombo Football League by 5-0 to win the Korea-Sri Lanka Friendship Under-19 Inter-League Football Championship in the final played at CR and FC ground on Friday (8).
At halftime City FL led 4-0 after H.D. Madusanka scored twice and M.A. Akram and M. Shaleel scored a goal each.
The winners finished off after Shaleel scored his second goal of the game.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
Update: Five of the twelve passengers on board the bell 212 aircraft that crashed into the Maduru Oya today, have succumbed to their injuries, the SLAF said.
