St. Joseph's College travelled down to Mt. Lavinia to beat hosts S. Thomas' College by 22-10 in a Cup Segment match of the Singer Schools Rugby League Championship today (8).
St. Joseph's led 12-5 at halftime and maintained the lead right till the end, before ending with a tally of four tries and aconversion.
The Thomians scored from two unconverted tries, which came during each half.
St. Joseph's success also had a great amount of significance as they went on to retain the Lady Jayatilake Shield for the third successive year and also maintained their unbeaten record in the tournament.
