S. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia defeated D.S. Senanayake College by 24-19 to emerge Singer Schools League Plate Championship winners in their match played at Havelock Park on Friday (7).
At halftime both teams were locked at 19-all but a crucial breakthrough initiated by lock Harith Senanayake sealed the Thomians an emphatic win.
The winners collected their points from four tries and two conversions.
