S. Thomas' College staged a gallant performance to defeat Trinity College 23-20 in their Singer Under-20 Schools Rugby League Tournament match played at Pallekele on Saturday (23).
After a close battle Trinity led at halftime by 5-3 but were brought down to 13 men after two of their players were sin binned.
The Thomians scored from three tries, a conversion, a penalty and a drop goal.
Trinity who lost their skipper in the midway of the second half after being red-carded, scored from three tries, a conversion and a penalty.
