Top contenders S. Thomas' College beat Zahira College 43-10 in the quarter-final game to reach the semi-final stage of the Milo Schools Under-20 President's Cup Knockout Rugby Championship.
In the match that was played on Tuesday (28) at the Royal Sports Complex, the winners led 19-7 at halftime and scored from seven tries and four conversions.
Zahira, who led 7-5 at one stage, scored off a converted try and a penalty.
The two semi-finals will be played this weekend at the Royal College Sports Complex.
In the first game Singer League champions Isipathana College will take on St. Peter's College on Saturday 2) while Royal College will take on S. Thomas' College on Sunday (3).
