The Zahira Sevens Rugby Tournament, organised by the Zahira College Group of 60s, will take place at the college ground in Maradana come Sunday (7).
Among the participating schools are defending champions Isipathana College, Thurstan College, Lalith Athulathmudali MV, Prince of Wales College, Royal College Panadura, St. Benedict's College, Vidyratha College Kandy, Carey College, C.W.W. Kannangara MV, Mahanama College, hosts Zahira College and the IM Sarawak Combined Schools from Malaysia.
The winning team will receive the Cup championship with a cash award of Rs. 50000 while the runner-up is set to receive a trophy with Rs. 25000 in cash.
Trophies will be presented to Plate champions and runners-up with cash rewards of Rs. 20000 and Rs. 10000 allocated to them respectively.
The winner of the Bowl championship will receive a trophy and Rs. 10000 in cash while the runner-up is set to receive Rs. 5000 in cash in addition to the trophy.
