Leading schools from Colombo Ananda, Nalanda and Royal colleges will battle it out in the Triangular Volleyball Tournament that will commence on Monday (11).
It will be a two day tournament and will be played at the Royal College Sports complex.
The tournament is organised by the Royal College Volleyball Advisory and the Management Committee.(RCUVAMC). The tournament is being conducted to foster friendship between the three schools and also to inspire the future generation.
All matches will be supervised by professional referees nominated by the National Volleyball federation.
“All the matches will be played at the college grounds and the indoor sports complex. This tournament will provide a rare opportunity for the school children to display their talents in an atmosphere similar to international competition . We hope that this volleyball tournament will prosper in the years to come," said Chairman of the RCUVAMC.
The tournament will be conducted under five age categories, Under-12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. Trophies, Certificates and medals will be given to the winners.
All the others will get participation certificates.
The final of the tournament will be on Tuesday (12) at 3.30pm with the participation of the three principals of the schools involved in the tournament.
