Thailand’s public health ministry reported seven new cases of the coronavirus Saturday, three Thais and four Chinese. The new cases are currently in hospital and have brought the total reported in the country to 32; 23 Chinese and 9 Thai.
The director-general of the Disease Control Department stated that one of the Thai cases was part of the group of 138 evacuated from Wuhan, China, while the other two had exposure to tourists. Three of the new Chinese cases are family members of previously reported cases, while the fourth was a Chinese tourist.
As of Saturday, 22 patients remain in hospital while 10 have been discharged.
