Current figures for the virus show 40,573 infected, 910 dead, and 3498 recovered at the time of writing. The majority of those cases, 40,195 infections and 908 deaths, are from mainland China. Scientists are concerned as the rate of infection for the virus has not yet shown signs of slowing, according to the data.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) says no new countries have reported the virus, meaning so far it has not spread beyond the 25.
