Voice of Sebs back on air

The annual FM radio broadcast of St Sebastian's College Media Society will be back on air on December 12, 13 and 14 on 96.1 F.M.

‘De Vibez’, Sebs radio broadcast will be conducted parallel to the College's Festive season and Carol Service. ‘De Vibez’ is an annual project organized by Sebs Media Society. The transmission will run by the students of the College, who have experience in radio broadcasting at their studio at the College premises.

Listeners will get the opportunity to experience the live broadcast of the Christmas Carol Service during this period apart from the wide range of educational, children's and seasonal entertainment programmes.

'This is to create sufficient space for young Sebestianites, who wish to aspire in the field of journalism' said the Priest-in-charge of the Society Rev.Fr. Daya Darshana.

Presenting a weekly sinhala bulletin is a tradition of the media society. Now they have started to present a weekly English bulletin too. Through the presenting of the English bulletin they expect to tune the ears of students to English, while keeping them informed about the latest happenings, developments and upcoming stars of the College. In addition to that, they have trained a considerable number of the members of the media society to present and edit news bulletins.
