New faces take a bow

One of the avowed aims of the HSBC Colombo Fashion Week has been to present a platform for aspiring designers to make it to the big league.

Opening night (February 5) at the Fashion Week 2010 saw some upcoming designers unveiling their creations on the Hilton ramp to an interested audience. Who knows we might be seeing a new star in the making.

Among the collections presented were those by Maheshika, Kasuni, Nishika, Asanga, LICC Jeans, Somewhere and Embark, taking a bow with puppies on the catwalk as well.
