‘One-Two, Soldiers were Going’, the tragicomic Russian movie will be screened on Wednesday, June 9 at 6.00 pm at the Russian Centre Colombo.Directed by Leonid Bykov, shows the tragic and the comic, the heroic and the lyrical - all has interwoven onscreen into an unusual story about the fathers remaining forever young and the children coming to the place where exactly thirty years ago their most dear ones took the last deadly battle…

Produced in 1976 the film won Shevchenko State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR for inematography to L. Bykov, director and lead actor of the film.
