The list of Prize Winners announced by Edexcel for last year's IGCSE Examination included twelve world prize winners and one Sri Lankan Prize winner from Gateway. All ‘world prize winners’head the Sri Lankan prize lists as well. Further, Gateway students are among the students who have obtained the highest number of A or A* grades at both IGCSE/OL and Advanced Level categories.

Nishan Srishankar of Gateway College, Colombo has received the best IGCSE/OL result receiving the highest possible grades in eleven subjects (10A*s and one A). Shaveen Jeewandara and Rukshala Illukkumbura of Gateway College, Colombo received the highest possible grades in ten subjects (9A*s and one A). Ramitha Soyza and Vishwa Wijekoon of Gateway College, Colombo and Amittha Sandunsith Upasiri and Kaushal Silva of Gateway College, Kandy received the highest possible grades in nine subjects (8A*s and one A). Nipuna Siribaddana and Noreyana Fernando of Gateway College, Colombo and Tharindu Tharaka Dissanayake of Gateway College, Kandy received the highest possible grades in eight subjects (7A*s and one A). Ammer Jawfer of Gateway College, Colombo and Ishan Mohamed Ismeth of Gateway College, Kandy received the highest possible grades in seven subjects (6A*s and one A).

Aadhil Niyaz of Gateway College, Colombo has received the best Advanced Level result receiving 5 A grades. Malith Silva, Sheral Tissera and Pradeepa Perera of Gateway College, Colombo and Chamittha Nandunsith Upasiri of Gateway College, Kandy received 4 A grades each. Pasindu Gamarachchi, Rochelle Wickramasekera and Niveditha Senthivel of Gateway College, Colombo and Ashker Nizamdeen of Gateway College, Kandy received 3 A grades each.

Through this arrangement, they are also able to keep their options open until they complete the two years of study at Advanced Level where they could even opt for a different career to what they were planning at the commencement of their Advanced Level studies.

Gateway Graduate School, in partnership with NCC Education UK, offers a choice of two Diplomas. These Diplomas (International Diploma in Computer Studies - IDCS and International Diploma in Business - IDB) done over two years, is equivalent to the first year of a British Degree. The second year (leading to the Advanced Diploma) and the final year (leading to a Degree by the University of Wales, (UK) can be followed at the Gateway Graduate School. Therefore, taking this route, the student can obtain an internationally recognised British Degree, here in Sri Lanka, at a fraction of the cost of studying in the UK. Students also have the option of transferring to Universities in UK, USA or Australia following the completion of the Diploma.
