The Wesley Walk & Carnival '10 which will be held on the 31st of July 2010, is tipped to be an event which would sport extraordinary attractions which would make the event probably the most extravagant Fund Raiser walk organized by a Colombo school.

The walk will be lead by a batch of mini coopers with a breathtaking display of burning rubber, followed by knights in horseback, with many colorful additions to make it a carnival on the streets…. And most of the leading schools will participate alongside the Wesleyites.

Old Wesleyites will participate in their batches with every group adding to the colour of the walk in a different way. Many popular Rock outfits in Colombo are tipped to perform at the carnival which will be held at Campbell park , where the walk would end to proceed towards further entertainment to last till the evening.

The school together with its many auxiliary bodies along with students, teachers and parents are organizing the Wesley Walk 2010 themed "Walk of Grit" The event is well organized and promise to feature many attractions to add colour to the festivities. It is expected that along with a 2000 plus student population, parents well wishers and old Wesleyites will attend the event.

An estimated crowd in excess of 5000 is anticipated to attend and be involved in activities throughout the day. The carnival will consists of food stalls, trade stalls, games of skill, entertainment by a DJ , live performances by popular artist and Bands, fun and entertainment for the kids etc…….

Wesley College with a 136-year history of Educational Excellence is indeed a testament of scholastic excellence. With its signpost presence at Karlsruhe Gardens has produced generation after generation of well moulded and disciplined Wesleyites renowned to be role models of peer emulation.

This even would be an ideal opportunity for the mercantile sector to activate their marketing campaigns and benefit from the stalls at the venue. There is also opportunity for organizations to add their promo floats or banners to the walk to enhance brand exposure.
