Sri Lanka-based Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College (CINEC) recently announced it was awarded the "International Asia Pacific Quality Award 2010 – Best in Class – Education Organisation" recognition at the 16th Asia Pacific Quality Organisation International Conference on Quality, which was held at Nepal's Kathmandu University.
According to CINEC, it has already received students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives and Iran for maritime education, while also having received inquiries from countries such as China and Kenya for student enrolments. It was also revealed that students were also soon due from Mauritius and South Africa, with training centres to also be set up in these two countries.
CINEC further noted its personnel had also presented a paper on Good Practices hosted by the Network for Quality Productivity and Competitiveness of Nepal. |
