Lanka Bell, the only wholly owned Sri Lankan telecommunications provider, and its three subsidiaries, BellVantage, Bell Solutions Ltd (BSL) and Lanka Bell Services, recently received the widely respected ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System certification.
Incorporating global best practices known to increase customer satisfaction as well as reduce wastage, improve productivity and empower employees; the ISO 9001: 2008 certification was bestowed on Lanka Bell by local awarding body SGS Limited, an organisation which has also accredited many of Sri Lanka's other blue chip companies.
According to Prasad Samarasinghe, Managing Director, Lanka Bell; the ISO team worked hard and long to gain this certification and recognizes the value it would add to the company's offerings, especially for customers: "Users of all Lanka Bell products and services will now benefit from improved speed and efficiency of processes, all in line with our stated quality policy goal of best business processes, empowering employees and continuously reviewing and improving the quality management systems." |
