Virtusa re-enters 2010 FinTech 100 List

IT company Virtusa recently announced that it had been named to the 2010 FinTech 100 List compiled by daily trade newspaper American Banker, which was founded in New York 1836, as well as analytical research firm IDC Financial Insights.

The company, which was one of just six new entrants between 2009 and 2010, was most recently ranked 88th. According to media reports 53% of the client portfolio of this US$211 million revenue company was from the banking, financial services and insurance or BFSI category, with the company said to be servicing five of the world's top ten banks. Additionally, 76% of its clients are from North America and 21% from Europe.

Meanwhile, according to a company statement, the list, which has now been published for the last seven years, ranked financial service vendors based on 2009 revenues, and has featured Virtusa for the third time in four years. It also quoted in Virtusa's statement, its Chairman and Chief Executive, Kris Canekeratne, as saying: “The FinTech 100 List has established itself as a significant point of reference in measuring success within the financial services industry.”
