A leading Sri Lankan fibre glass raw material firm, U.S.S.Services (Pvt) Ltd which received the ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management Systems, has now ventured into the manufacturing of fibre glass boats to cater to the needs of fishermen in the country. The company is engaged in import, export and distribution of a wide range of high quality fibre glass raw materials, Managing Director of the company Sarath Silva said.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification of registration covers a wide area including the import, export and distribution of fibre glass raw materials, insulation materials, industrial chemicals, marine and hardware items.
Raw materials are imported from Taiwan, Malaysia, Dubai, India, United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. Mr. 0Silva said that Maldives is the largest buyer of their fibre glass materials. The local buyers are Sri Lanka Navy, Army, Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Dockyad Ltd, NERD Centre of Sri Lanka, Ceynor Foundation Ltd and Neil Fernando & Co. |
