Tier ‘A’
A six wicket haul by Chilaw Marians left arm spinner Malinda Pushpakumara who sent CCC reeling to 133 has given his side the edge when play ended on day two in their Premier Tier ‘A’ encounter at the FTZ ground in Katunayake.
Malinda had CCC in a spot of bother as he ran through the top order batting to send them reeling to 62 for 5 which enabled the Marians to bundle them out for 133. The match will resume at 10 am today.
At Reid Avenue Saracens SC were 199 for 8 against Bloomfield who declared their innings on their overnight score of 372 for 9 which came off 103 by Saman Jayantha.

SSC were on top against Badureliya CC when play stopped on day two at the NCC ground. SSC resuming from their overnight score of 149 for 2 went on to make 340 for 6 before declaring with skipper Kaushal Silva cracking 129.

Romesh guides Moors with a ton
Left hand batsman Romesh Wickramaarachchi cracked 103 as he guided Moors to a commanding position on day two against Air Force in their Premier Tier ‘B’ encounter at Braybrooke Place.
Romesh’s 149 ball knock comprised 13 boundaries. Romesh was involved in two partnerships
At Panagoda the battle between the top two teams in this group, Army and Police, saw the latter resuming from their overnight score of 272 for 6 being bowled out for 276. In reply Army were 142 for 6.
Dilshan Aravinda hit a career best knock of 183 helping Seeduwa/Raddoluwa CC to 325 for 5 make 384. Panadura in reply were 138 for 8. At Welisara BRC resuming from their overnight score of nine for no loss made 221 for 6 in reply to Navy’s opening day’s score of 284.
In the match between Singha SC and Antonians SC, left arm spinner Umega Chathuranga with a seven wicket haul helped Singha SC to come out on top. But the two teams have an equal chance of pulling off the game though the scale is in favour of Singha SC.
