No stamps

Stamps were to be offered for a big event which will end soon but due to the tug-o’-war between three factions the stamps were not issued. Now the big event will end unheralded without any stamps on offer to mark the historic event. What squabbling amongst certain bodies can do!

Queues up to buy tickets
Tickets are still the talk of the town with people queuing up to buy the much needed documents to enter venues. It is now being said that even some big shots are sending people to buy these tickets and when they fail to produce the goods even the big men come to purchase these tickets. Now the organizers are wondering whether they should put in some special people to cater to these big guns.

No money
Now that the big event is almost over the talk has shifted to future events where eight tours are due to take place. But the organization that is involved is said to have ‘No Money’ for these events and are planning to pawn these said tours in order to obtain funds for the tours.

Three factions
On the same subject, the organizers that are providing key officials for these events are said to have split into three factions. Big Match organizers are now wondering as to who will provide officials for these big events.

Netball trouble
Netball is very much on the lips of those who know the game well because of a well known player from the City of Gems has been left out of a team that is to tour Down Under next month. The school whom this player represents has made representations to te highest level of this omission but nothing seems to have been done about it. This omission was highlighted by all concerned and even a second attempt was made to have this player included in the tour squad but all seems to have fallen on deaf ears. This particular player has been selected as the top player at several district level competitions but all these credentials are of no use… it seems.

No go
It is learned that at the book launch even the old chief Dharme was invited. It is also learned that Dharme’s new friends and the present company he keeps have not gone well with most of the people who are involved with the game. So no one seemed to take any notice of this one-time big gun. So he waited for a while and retreated without any one’s notice – or that is what he thought. After he left, a captain said: “I have no time for him now”.
