The 13th Colonel Henry Steel Olcott Memorial cricket tournament which was to commence at the Uyanwatte Stadium Matara on 2nd December has been postponed.
Disruption of facilities due to the gale that struck Matara last Friday (26) and prevailing rain is reason for the postponement.
A spokesman for the Colombo branch of the Rahula College OBA who are organizing this year’s tournament played between teams comprising of past cricketers from the eight leading Buddhist schools in the island namely Ananda, Nalanda, Dharmaraja, Dharmasoka, Dharmapala, Maliyadeva, Mahinda and Rahula said that it will be played in January or February 2012. |
