Aquila House emerged champions at the annual Inter-House Athletics Meet 2011 of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama, Homagama on November 22.
Aquila House accumulated 365 points, a clear lead against runner-up, Cygnus House who scored 304 points. The third place was claimed by Ursa House who gathered 287 points while Cetus House scored 262 points taking fourth place in the championship.
An overall number of 145 events was held throughout the championship which was took place in two different legs. Around 70 events in the junior category was completed before the main event before the remaining 75 events took place.
The winning team’s Inaam Ismail and Devuni Wickramasinghe won the awards presented for the overall best performers in the boys’ and girls’ categories respectively.
