50 years of banking

Over a 100 guests including Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor Central Bank and top bankers gathered in Colombo recently to pay tribute to veteran banker Daya Muthukumarana who has completed 50 years of service in banking. Several banking and financial services professionals recalled the past and said that Mr Muthukumarana has been very helpful in banking and financial institutions where he worked, and praised his contribution to the industry.

The banking veteran spent 25 years of his career at Hatton National Bank, whose former chairman Rienzie Wijetillake also spoke at the celebration.
