Now, the OCBT Campus has made arrangements to conduct the Certificate in Marketing Management course which is awarded by the Global Academy of Marketing of the United Kingdom, in the Sinhala medium.
The OCBT Campus is the pioneer in introducing a professional marketing qualification in the Sinhala medium in Sri Lanka. The OCBT Campus has introduced this new course with the prime intention of building a strong foundation for people who aspire to become qualified and accepted Marketing Professionals, locally and internationally. The Global Academy of Marketing in the United Kingdom is an internationally recognized awarding body with worldwide acceptance.
The Global Academy of Marketing in the United Kingdom and the OCBT Campus are offering an academic path in Marketing Management which is commencing from the General Certificate in Marketing Management level up to the Post graduate level. Out of these courses, only the General Certificate in Marketing Management and the Advance Certificate in Marketing Management could be followed in the Sinhala medium. The rest of the courses have to be followed in the English medium.
This is a dual qualification program, which would offer students with two nationally and internationally recognized qualifications, upon the successful completion of the program in Sinhala medium. The first qualification would be the Diploma in Marketing Management qualification which is offered by the OCBT Campus in Sri Lanka and the second qualification would be the Certificate in Marketing Management offered by the Global Academy of Marketing in the United Kingdom. Other than the certificates, the successful students would be awarded with titles to be used with their name such as JGAM, SGAM, AGAM, MGAM and FGAM which are officially accepted in the marketing industry.
This Certificate in Marketing Management Course introduced by the OCBT Campus will pave the way for a post graduate degree in Marketing Management. Only the first two stages, which are the Certificate in Marketing Management and the Advanced Certificate in Marketing Management could be followed in Sinhalese Language. Therefore the English language skills necessary to follow the rest of the stages also can be acquired while following the first two stages in the Sinhala medium. The OCBT Campus has made provisions for that also.
This Certificate Course in Marketing Management will be of immense value for school leavers, Marketing Executives and novices in large scale marketing organizations. Such a qualification would be an added qualification and be benefited for professionals in fields such as Medicine, Law, Engineering, Banking and Finance, Insurance, Construction, Supermarkets, Apparel, Beauty Culture, Information Technology and for people who are engaged in the Hotel and Tourism industry. The classes for this course will be held on Saturdays and Sundays. The course duration is three months.
