“Punchi Apita Awurudu 2012” the Sinhala Hindu New Year function which is organized by H3 Foundation (Hearts & Hands of Humanity) for the children of Lawris children’s’ home to be held at the home premises on 1st of May 2012. Many traditional New Year games as well as the items which really give them a chance to enhance their talents are included to the program. One of the main intentions of this little ceremony is to offer the same entertainments enjoyed & experienced by the privileged class children of the outer world, on the presumption that they too are the respectable citizens of this little island irrespective of cast & creed. The young volunteers of H3 Foundation just planted a small sapling & they hope it will be a huge tree which gives its shade to thousand & one homeless youngsters & the needy, in the long run.
Their effort is to launch the social work in a different perspective & in a creative way. H3 Foundation was born as a result of the above meritorious objective. This is by the meaning of the word is a non-profitable organization which runs by a group of young volunteers. The director and founder of H3 foundation, W. Sachinda Dulanjana is taking much enthusiasm as a youth activist. Presently the H3 Foundation is dealing with current social issues & charity work as well as community services.
“It is true that we are living in a world where there are many charitable organizations worldwide which cater & shelter the domestic animals. So it will be worthwhile if we can look after at least our race offering the maximum towards the displaced & the discarded on humanitarian grounds. Hence our charitable deed.” The founder of H3 put his thoughts about the function like this.
