C.J.P. Siriwardana, who retired in 2018 as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 62, the bank said on Thursday. The cremation will be held tomorrow.
Mr. Siriwardana functioned as Deputy Governor from 2017 to 2018. With over 31 years of service at the bank he was especially experienced in the areas of Economic and Price Stability, Financial System Stability and Agency Functions.
