Colombo bourse retains positivism at start

The Colombo bourse advanced for the fourth consecutive session at Friday's start driven by retail activity, with analysts saying that gains were mainly driven by price appreciations in big cap shares.

They said that retailers are likely to cash in on their profit as the day wears on.

The All share index was up by 0.07 per cent at 10.15 am to stand at 7,073.46 while S&P SL20 index gained 0.27 per cent to stand at 3,819.07. The turnover was at Rs. 116 million at this time.
