Hot on the heels of foraying into healthcare by buying into Nawaloka Hospitals (NHL), Sri Lanka’s Dhammika Perera, businessmen and entrepreneur, has purchased Anilana group of hotels from businessman, Asanga Senevirathna, sources close to this deal confirmed.
Anilana group has three upscale properties in Pasikudah, Nilaveli and Nuwara Eliya. Anilana had plans to use the comparative advantage of owning large blocks of prime, beachfront properties in Nilaveli, Pasikuda, Panichchankerni, Selladiv Island, Vakarai, Trincomalee and prestigiously located property in Dambulla, by building luxury hotels and custom designed villas. It’s likely that Mr. Perera will see through some of these plans, the sources said. (DE)
