A programme on distributing stationery and other essential school items, souvenir awarding for two students that had scored 9 A passes in G.C.E Ordinary level examination in 2021 in a school in the Agbopura area of the Hambantota district was held recently.
A donation of a wheel chair for an elderly mother, and dry rations for the needy was also provided.
The ‘True Smile Child Foundation’ in collaboration with other friendly funding Societies in the community and intimate friends of Agbopura and the Weerawila vicinity helped in organizing the events.
Mr Nimal Batagoda too contributed to make the event a success.
The event was held at a Pre-School in the area last week in Hambantota with the attendance of Ven. Buddhist monks, Islam religious leader, The Divisional Secretary Lunugamwehera, the Head Quarters chief Inspector of police, Weerawila, the Grama Niladhari, President, Executive director ‘True Smile Child Foundation’ Tangalle Mr. R. S. Wimalaweera & many other government officials.
