As Cricketer Kumar Sangakkara plays his farewell Test, wife Yehali decided to take a TV mike and find out just how much her husband is admired by an Aussie cricket fan.
Yehali interviewed an Aussie fan, for Wisden India in Galle who claimed to be one of the most passionate supporters of Sangakkara.
"I love Kumar. He is one of the all-time greats of cricket. I am an Australian but am a huge supporter of Sri Lankan cricket," said the unnamed fan, who was not aware that the person interviewing him was none other than Mrs Sangakkara.
"It's a sad day to see Kumar retire but we will always remember his great innings," the Aussie went on.
Yehali maintained a straight face for most parts of the interview but burst out laughing when she finally revealed to the fan that she was married to the cricket star.
"Did you know I am his wife? And I thank you for all the kind words," she said, concluding the interview.
Sangakkara will hang his boots at the end of the Colombo Test - his 134th.
