13 suspects remanded until Jun 03 for vandalising Buddha statues in Mawanella
The 13 suspects who were arrested for vandalising Buddhist statues in Mawanella have been further remanded until June 03 upon the orders of the Mawanella Magistrate's Court.
Meanwhile, a protest was held opposite the Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha over the government's actions concerning the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
The protest was held by a group of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna members this morning. The SLPP members had conducted their protest within the premises of the Pradeshiya Sabha as well.
