A total of 17 safehouses and seven training facilities used by the terrorists involved in the Easter Sunday attacks have been identified so far, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said yesterday (May 15).
The safehouses were discovered in Meegamuwa (Katuwapitiya), Sarikkamulla (Panadura), Enderamulla (Wattala), St. Anthony's Road (Colombo 03), Templers Road (Mount Lavinia), Malwana, Thihariya, Wanathavilluwa, Sainthamaruthu 9, Daluwakotuwa (Kochchikade), Kuliyapitiya, Hettipola, Katupotha, Nintavur, Valaichchenai, Sammanthurai, Mayura Place (Colombo 06).
Meanwhile, the training camps of the terrorists were identified in Wanathavilluwa, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Malwana, Valaichchenai, and Kattankudy, the Spokesman noted.
