A group of Indian fishermen who were arrested for poaching Sri Lankan waters have been granted permission to return their native country today (Jun 15).
The group comprising 18 individuals were released by the Point Pedro Magistrate's Court upon the advice of the Attorney General.
These fishermen will be returned to India after being handed over to the Emigration Department, the Jaffna Fisheries Inspector Office said.
