Air Arabia 3L-197, the first maiden flight of a new low-cost airline service from Abu Dhabi to Colombo arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) last night (8), carrying 158 passengers with eight crew members.
Every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday of the week, the flights will arrive at 8:00 p.m. and depart from Katunayake Airport at 8:30 p.m. for Abu Dhabi.
The maiden flight was welcomed by Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Udaya Indraratne, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Airport and Aviation Services Engineer Athula Galketiya, Head of Air Navigation Services Nishan Abeywardena, along with Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and many aviation sector officials.
