The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has issued an order suspending 16 bank accounts of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and his family members amounting to Rs 93.1 million.
The suspension is for a week and facts would be reported to the High Court and an order seeking an extension of the suspension of the accounts would be obtained, the Commission said.
In addition three Insurance bonds too have been suspended.
The bank accounts belonged to the former minister, his wife, three daughters and one of the son in laws of the ex-minister.
