The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has given authority to sell eggs according to the weight with effect from today.
An Extra Ordinary Gazette to this effect has been issued yesterday stipulating the maximum retail prices accordingly.
Traders will be able to sell eggs according to the weight or charge per egg keeping with the maximum retail price gazetted.
The Maximum Retail Price Per egg (white will be Rs.44/= while the price per one Kg would be Rs. 880.00.
For brown eggs the price would be per egg Rs. 46.00 per one kg will be Rs. 920.00.
