The Cabinet of Ministers yesterday approved a Cabinet memorandum submitted by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to formulate Colombo Port City Economic Commission bill in order to establish a special economic zone known as Port city.
The bill, drafted by the Legal Draftsman to provide necessary legal provisions for the said Commission was approved by the Cabinet.
The bill is expected to be published on the government gazette and will be submitted to the Parliament for approval.
