Evening thundershowers will develop in most parts of the island during the next few days, the Meteorological Department said today (April 29).
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most parts of the island after 2.00pm and heavy showers above 100mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Southern provinces.
Showers or thundershowers may occur in the Eastern province and in Mullaitivu and Hambantota districts during the morning too.
The Department advises the general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized winds and lightning during thundershowers.
