The Colombo additional Magistrate has ordered the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to investigate and submit a report over a complaint about the alleged illegal assets gained by model Piumi Hansamali.
Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake ordered that details of 19 bank accounts under the name of Hansamali be released to facilitate the investigations carried out by the CID’s Illegal Assets Investigations Division.
This follows a complaint lodged by the Mage Rata organization President Sanjaya Mahawatta.
The complaint claims that Hansamali was using a Range Rover vehicle valued over Rs 80 million and was in possession of an apartment valued at Rs 148 million and owned other properties.
