Eight estate workers were admitted to hospital after being stung by wasps in an estate in Rosella, Watawala last evening.
The workers were attacked at about 4.45pm yesterday while working at the estate and all eight were initially admitted to the Watawala Regional Hospital for treatment. The injured consisted of two men and six women, a spokesman at the Watawala Hospital stated.
Two women aged 53 and 55 years of age who were in serious condition were later transferred to the Nawalapitiya Base Hospital.
