Showers or thundershowers are predicted over most of the island today (18) after 1:00 pm, the Department of Meteorology said.
Occasional rains are most likely in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva Provinces.
A few showers are due in Hambantota District.
Moderately heavy rainfall over 75mm is possible at certain areas in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western Provinces besides Galle and Matara Districts.
Parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern Provinces will have misty mornings.
