Trade unionist, former Minister and Ceylon Workers Congress Chairman Muthu Sivalingam has passed away at the age of 79.
Parliamentarian V. Radhakrishnan announced the former Minister’s death in Parliament a short while ago.
The late MP, who represented Nuwaraeliya district in Parliament, held several ministerial posts. He was the Minister of Estate Housing Infrastructure and Community Development from 2007 to 2010. He also held posts such as the Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Deputy Minister of Primary Industries, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.
