Senior leaders of Ilankai Thamil Arasku Katchchi (ITAK), the main constituent party of its electoral alliance Tamil National Alliance (TNA) met the National Peoples’ Power (NPP) delegation led by Anura Kumara Dissanayake today at the party office in Jaffna.
The meeting with the NPP, the electoral alliance of Peoples’ Liberation Front (JVP) came a day after the ITAK meeting with the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday in Jaffna.
During the meeting, Mr Premadasa assured ITAK leadership that the 13th Amendment to the Constitution will be implemented in full under a future SJB government led by him.
ITAK was represented by Jaffna district MP M. A. Sumanthiran, leader Mavai Senathirajah and former Chair of Northern Provincial Council C.V.K. Sivagnanam while NPP was represented by Bimal Rathnayaka, R. Chandrasekaran along with its leader Mr Dissanayake. (Pix by N. Lohathayalan)
